Rcampus is a free course management site that can be used to create online classes. It provides a video tutorial about how to use it and it is user friendly. You can create a comprehensive multimedia class by linking presentations, videos, podcasts and text to create a complete unit of study. The site is a good example of creating conditions for active processing (Laureate Education, 2009). Through the various multimedia, students will be engaged in active cognitive processing. This can be considered learner centered as the instructor has the ability to incorporate various media to reach the diverse learner.
