This is a fantastic web 2.0 tool. Upload images and annotate. You can other embed media inside the annotations. Annotations pop up as you click or hover over the objects you add. You can embed the annotated image into webpage or blog. This could be a useful tool for teachers and students. Lots of scope for creativity with layers etc. You can share to a group and set editing permissions for public or restricted people/groups for collaboration purposes.

You can create your animated video on Wideo by dragging and dropping any element into place in the editor section then set the sequence of the animations.You can manually adjust the timing of the animation of each individual image. Serious issue - just starting

"12 educators, many of them well known in online-education circles, did manage to draft a document that they hope will serve as a philosophical framework for protecting the interests of students as online education. Called "A Bill of Rights and Principles for Learning in the Digital Age," the document proposes a set of "inalienable rights" that the authors say students and their advocates should demand from institutions and companies that offer online courses and technology tools."

Abstract This article defi nes Twitter TM ; outlines the features, affordances, and common uses; and conceptualizes "tweeting" as a literacy practice, comprising  both traditional and new literacies, and impacting both informal and formal  learning settings. Also provided is an overview of traditional and new literacies, and insights from a scan of the research literature to date on tweeting as  a literacy practice. The authors outline areas for inquiry and the challenges  to conducting such research.
