Twitter is a free tool and it is very easy to understand. Anyone can Twitter! You can only comment on someone else's Twitter if you yourself have a Twitter. This is the only limitation I was able to find. You are able to see people's Twitters when you click on them.
The only downfall about this tool is that it would be hard to use it with your early childhood students. It is a great thing for high school students but the young children may have a hard time typing comments. In order for the younger students to Twitter we, as the teachers, would have to type out the things they want to say. This is only a small challenge that could be avoided by you being willing to help your students create and update their Twitters.
I reviewed the two sites I found on Twitter. They are both very informative on the many things Twitter can be used for. One site discussed the uses of Twitter overall and the other discusses the many uses of Twitter in the classroom. Both sites are very helpful and show how great a technology tool Twitter truly is.
