The grade 5 teachers at my school facilitate the use of Glogster by students to create fantastic online growth portfolios for our end-of-year student led conferences. I did not know how this tool worked till I linked to it through the Discovery Education site. Now that I have previewed it, I can see many future applications of it at my school.

I would like to have one of the student interns (high school or college) create a Glog about Ellis Island and/or the Statue of Liberty. Once complete, it could be used in education programs (particularly the distance learning program) and as an example for a contest for students and/or other users.
  •
Students can use Glogster as a way to present information to the rest of the class. It is a great choice for those who like to be creative in their presentations. Visual learners appreciate this method.

I used Glogster with my middle schoolers this year and they loved it! I was surprised at how much time and effort they put into their glogs. Since I had over 150 students, I had them log in and create glogs under my name which allowed me to view and edit their work.
