    CERN is The European Organization for Nuclear Research located in Switzerland and operates the world largest particle accelerator - the Hadron Collider where the elusive Higgs-Bosun particle was recently detected (maybe). This is one of the best places on earth for particle physics - which includes cosmic rays.
