This article was a reading assignment for the Science Teaching Methods course I'm also currently taking, and I thought that it had wonderful connections to Constructivist learning and the inquiry model, so I thought I would share. It has some good information and insight all the way to the end!

I was searching around a lot of these links posted to EDUC 525 but I have to say there was something about reading why RSS was important that really was eye opening. The power seems to lie in the ability to send it all to them instead of asking them to come and get it....I think the analogy was getting up to go down to the candy store or having the candy delivered to your door step. In terms of getting students attention, the most direct route is the better route.

The list of available suppliers of this technology was helpful. I went to the Mimeo site which had good videos of different features of their system, which seems to be cheaper than SMART. I read the idea of using these boards to record lessons for substitute teachers to use, which seemed a great way to not waste those substitute days.
