This website is fantastic, because it provides teachers with resources as well as teaching and learning activities for each level of analysis. The website is rich with resources and also provides content on research methods. This is useful for me, because i attempt to fuse research methods into each level of analysis so that students have a thorough understanding of research methods.
  •
As a new teacher of psych, this is the best website and so many ideas and essential tips.

My student like this site alot!
  •
    Great resource!
  •
This website gives a great overview of many of the most important fields, methods, perspectives, psychologists, and studies in Psychology. It is intended for students writing their A-level Psychology, and is thus an excellent introductory website for anyone who is new to Psychology or is refreshing his or her memory.
  •
I find Simply Psychology for many reasons, not the least of which is that it is accessible language. But it has some studies that are reported in enough detail to be replicated, a reference to the original publication, and links to terrific outside documents which are often the original publication. It takes some clicking around to find studies, but well worth it.
  •
This site offers a more scientific read. The knowledge is put forth straight forwardly and makes for interesting reading of theories, concepts and scientific inquiry put forth. I use it to encourage psychological vocabulary too.

This is an easy site, with a lot of short and well-explained info. Here you can find "something about everything", and can be a good place to start when you should introduce a new topic in class, or as a starting-point for students. This site is also on Facebook, so you can get updates almost every day.
  •
I use this website to get my students interested in what psychologists actually do and what they actually study in today's world; they're often surprised at the variability of studies and fields!
  •
I wouldn't necessarily recommend the whole website but some of the articles are good for jump starting a lesson.
  •
This website is useful not just for definitions and descriptions of essential psychological concepts, but also gives you updates on recent developments in the field of psychology.
  •
    Good for a general read
  •
For a bit of everything... Again, articles are not always comprehensive, but they may serve as good conversations-starters! A very detailed search menu is helpful to find something relevant for your class discussion topic.

Note: The simplified mechanisms of drug action presented here are just a small part of the story. When drugs enter the body they elicit very complex effects in many different regions of the brain. Often they interact with many different types of neurotransmitters and may bind with a variety of receptor types in a variety of different locations.

Nowadays, the American Psychological Association has a Code of Conduct in place when it comes to ethics in psychological experiments. Experimenters must adhere to various rules pertaining to everything from confidentiality to consent to overall beneficence. Review boards are in place to enforce these ethics.

Thanks for compiling such a great resource. I just wish it had more dialog about the ethics violations.
