The home page of thinkib.net IB Psychology. Browse the last pages, blog posts, check the sitemap, get some Teaching Materials and share knowledge with the thinkib.net IB community. It's $240 per year but well worth the fee, especially if you are new to IB Psych.

Totally agree. It's well worth the money. My school paid for it last year and I'm hoping it will continue to pay for it the next year as well. The website complements the Oxford Study Guide

National Standards for High School Psychology Curricula - 0 views

I am comparing and contrasting the IB and APA National Standards for High School Curriculum, looking for differences, similarities, and possible overlap. The following is the APA description attached to this URL: "In addition to setting forth learning objectives for high school psychology students, this document provides guidance for teaching based on active learning principles and recommendations for student learning assessment. This document is constructed to guide curriculum decisions by providing content and performance standards to guide teachers in designing instruction."

The APA/TOPSS released a manual for new psychology teachers, and it looks like it's full of great resources! See the announcement below for details. "New high school psychology teachers may have a number of questions about how to proceed with instruction in their first psychology teaching assignment.

Improving science literacy in the United States requires strengthening science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education at the middle- and high-school levels. Including a hands-on research experience element in the curricula of scientific disciplines is a crucial part of education in all STEM disciplines, including psychology.

Managing Stress During College - 0 views

  •
Here is a site I've used as a school counselor to direct IBDP students to when dealing with stress. It can help them identify stressors, the good an bad things about stress and there are helpful resources (goal setting worksheets, journals etc) to help in the management of stress. May be a helpful site to direct students to when covering Stressors when teaching about Health Psychology. It provides a practical application to what is being covered.
