I had my AP Psychology students subscribe to this publication. The vast majority found it very helpful while studying Psychology. Commentary, Research and News that cover all aspects of Human Behavior, from the workings of the brain, to relationships and the larger cultural forces that influence our decisions.
  •
Provides a look at psychology as a career in many different fields, such as research, consulting, diagnosing and teaching. I have found this site extremely useful over the years while working with both general and AP level students. I have my IB Psychology students subscribe to this publication.

This is useful as a fun source to get students interested in a topic before diving into it in depth.

Everyone loves a good TED talk. Here are some fun ones HS students would enjoy about Developmental Psychology. I like that you can filter the videos by psychology sub-topic AND Student Level as well.

Note: The simplified mechanisms of drug action presented here are just a small part of the story. When drugs enter the body they elicit very complex effects in many different regions of the brain. Often they interact with many different types of neurotransmitters and may bind with a variety of receptor types in a variety of different locations.

Funny way to presesnt the consequences of substance abuse.

My students and I love Hank Green and his Crash Course videos for Psychology. They're broken up into 10-minute segments and they are great overviews of the basic Psychology concepts.

IA-To calculate Statistics in Psychology - 6 views

  •
This web site currently features a number of statistical test calculators that social science students (and others) might find useful. These were originally developed in order to analyse the data accumulated at the Philosophy Experiments web site (partly just for the fun of it, and partly because SPSS and the like are cumbersome and prohibitively expensive). The calculators are designed to be easy to use - normally requiring only that you input your data and press a button. It is very useful for IA-Results section
