When psychologists "go wrong" - 2 views

  •
A nice overview of some 'unethical' experiments.
  •
Isn't it funny that the students tend to remember the more 'unethical' experiments, than the ones which would most benefit their outcomes...I wonder why this is so??

Schachter and Singer: Two Factor Theory of Emotion - 3 views

While students would not conduct this experiment for the IA, this experiment serves as a good example of how specific ethical principles are violated in popular studies. I use Schachter and Singer in the cognitive section of the course to present the ethical issue of deception.

This seems like it would be a great resource for students to refer to.
  •
I find this resource helpful but I am always a little, oh, I don't know, careful I guess, if I have not read or had access to the original study myself in case there is error. Perhaps I am a bit too conservative, but this is my first year teaching IB Psychology.

I love the way this students breaks down the course.

This is another potentially useful learning supplement for students. I don't think it is the be all and end all, however it could be a useful resource for students to use in order to brush up problems areas of their knowledge in a concise manner.

Depression is the leading cause of disability in the world; I believe it is important to share to students so they be aware and be well educated on this topic in psychology. Students would most likely experience this and it will be benefecial for them to be equipped with knowledge on this topic.
