Blubbr is a neat quiz creation service that I recently learned about on Free Technology for Teachers. Using Blubbr you can create interactive quizzes that are based on YouTube clips. Your quizzes can be about anything of your choosing. The structure of the quizzes has a viewer watch a short clip then answer a multiple choice question about the clip. Viewers know right away if they chose the correct answer or not.  Great for reinforcing a topic on internet safety, social netiquette, social skills etc.

Reading Bear, a project of WatchKnowLearn.org, is the first free program online to teach beginning readers vocabulary and concepts while systematically introducing all the main phonetic patterns of written English, all using innovative rich media. We spent an enormous amount of time developing 50 presentations, covering even more phonics principles and illustrating over 1,200 vocabulary items. There is nothing else like it, free or otherwise.

This is a site that allows the users to take a photo and ask a question related to the photo and the participants give back responses in texts, writing, drawing or voice. It is really cool . zondle is a site where you create quizes with any topic you would like for your students. The students then chose a gome from the game choices (which are many) and once the students answer the questions correctly, they play a portion of the game. This is a way to reinforce any skill that you would like to learn and remember. The games are quite fun and some are challenging enough to make you want to answer the questions over and over just to play the games. This site is free and has so much potential for use with a variety of learners.

This is an online avatar maker that works on the iPad and tablets. you can print, share, save, and use the avatar on your blog or web site. It is easy to use and is good to for students to develop for use regarding online safety .
