E-learning - 0 views

  • The module can be completed anywhere in the world - all you require is internet access. The basic idea is to allow you to: (i) study when and where as convenient, and (ii) test your knowledge of the compendium material through web-based exercises and discussions. The basic building blocks in the course are e-modules; each of these allow you to study a subject in detail by providing an overview of the subject and what you will learn from the particular e-module. You are provided with on-line compendium material, exercises and discussions. Exercises are either multiple-choice, minor essays or more comprehensive teacher evaluated assignments. Completing the exercises satisfactorily will provide you with access to the examination.

Learning Technology - E-learning at UCL - 0 views

  • E-learning at UCL - a summary Definition of E-learning A working definition adapted from the JISC is: ‘Learning facilitated and supported through the use of information and communications technology (ICT)’. E-learning includes: delivery of courses; on-line assessment; student to student and student to teacher communications; use of Internet resources; and other learning activities involving ICT and the Internet. It can thus be thought of as a continuum, encompassing a broad range of activities across a spectrum from using e-learning for “smarter” learner support, through blended learning (the majority of activity) to learning that is delivered entirely online.
