    This is a fantastic video!  This guy put computers in India and they just taught themselves how to use them, even to the extent of learning English!  One group of kids learned how to record their own music after only four hours with a computer!  fabulous

  • The global population, which currently stands at 6.8 billion, is expected to reach 9 billion within the next 40 years. This is a lot of mouths to feed, especially in areas where population growth will be the highest; mainly Africa and India, which are already facing not only food shortages, but severe water shortages as well.

  • Today, the world is attempting to control nuclear proliferation through diplomacy and treaties. In 1996, the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty prohibited nations from using bombs for either military or research purposes. Forty-one states with nuclear capabilities have signed the treaty, but it cannot take effect until three more nations join. India, Pakistan, and North Korea are among the countries that have refused. Although the United States has signed the treaty, it has not ratified it yet.
