This article shows you through cartoon and facts on how food in America is leading to the reason why obesity is so common here. It shows in one of the summary that a school can consider pizza as a vegetable because of the tomato paste they use as sauce and how we are so used to the GMO in foods that the organic stuff doesn't taste as good to use and makes people not want to buy it, not to mention the higher price of the food that is better for you.

To me that wasn't very shocking. I know that mountain dew is banned in Europe because of a toxic chemical(brominated vegetable oil BVO) that is illegal in Europe to use in food. And there are many more I know of. It is scary that in this country nobody really cares about educating people about what they eat. What is worse is that the perception is, that the government doesn't give a damn about what is in our food.

It's so sad to see America keep rising on the list for obesity. It honestly makes me scared to eat certain foods. Foods with GMO's are nearly no where near what they used to be. They used to be so mild and didn't have all of the other crazy chemicals in them. I wish we would go back to how it used to be. I can't wait to get my own house so that I can have my own little chickens and my own garden.

This site provides information regarding genetically modified foods. It talks about the pros and the cons, so it can be used to argue the opposite side. It also goes deep into what it actually is.

I agree, genetically modified foods are a bad thing.
