i believe this is wrong considering the fact that teachers have to pay to go to school to get this job and then they are receiving layoffs. that is not okay. this is why we need to recognize the importance of education.

That is very crazy to hear. Of course budget cuts occur all the time at schools but something as grave as letting go over 500 teachers is quite absurd. I mean I guess if they felt that they had to do that then so be it but without teachers then who will be teaching the students of the future?

It's crazy to hear about so many teachers getting laid off, I mean we need education for now and the future. It's mind blowing to know that we have such a poor system for teachers, I feel like they should get paid way more than what they get they spend more time with our children than we do.

Funding in high poverty areas were hit hard by budget cuts in recent years, getting less and less money, leading to things like teacher layoffs, reduced services and more. If the government followed the Every Student Succeeds Act, high poverty schools could get more funding towards their students futures.
