Over the years many innocent men and women have been wrongful convicted of crimes they never committed. Each day many are proven innocent and finally able to see loves ones and walk as free men and women again.

My heart hurts for people who are wrongly incarcerated. After they are released it isn't enough to apologize or give them large amounts of money. There are no transitional programs to reintegrate them into society. It's usually up to local organizations to help people get back on their feet.

Wrongful incarceration is a really big deal in our country. Black men and women especially are being incarcerated at higher rates due to petty crimes or crimes they didn't even commit and I think that really needs to be fixed.
