Youman's attempt to seek a promotion that she was more than qualified for ended with her manager denying her and telling her its because she is a woman. The article explains the depth of Walmarts descrimination practices.

I think this article was a wonderful way to give people insight on how big companies such as Walmart are discriminating against women. Many people use Walmart as their number one grocery store thus supporting the company. Many people are blind to these types of issues. Great article to find!

This isn't related to my topic at all, but I thought it was amusing because I used to work for this horrible company. They would preach things like, "This is that place," which is a reference to how Walmart is "such a wonderful place to work." In reality, and I say this from experience as an ex-member of their management team, it is NOT a great place to work. They don't value their employees, they don't have consistency across the company, and they have horrendous accountability standards AND consistencies.

The article mainly focus in how the government is involve in situatiuon like racism. Arizona is one of the most racism states but one with most Hispanic people too; not all of them are illegal, but just for being Hispanic they are descriminate. So, what is the government doing to protect the civil rights?

Gender equality still remains a big factor in women lives when it comes to career choices. In the article it compares the level of consideration between males and females when they pick their careers. This issue isn't going unnoticed by the press however and top influence's are doing their best to improve women's comfort ability and confidence when it comes to career choices.

I hate to admit, being a woman in society is definitely challenging in numerous ways. It's horrible that a person's gender determines if they qualify for the job or not. Although, throughout the years I believe people have improved and for the most part, people have stopped becoming so simple minded. Women are finally given the credit that they deserve.

I think its important that we consider that its Gender Equality and not Female Equality. Both sides of the fence face the same descrimination. I am personally in a position where I am more than qualified to move up, but am noticing that only women are being promoted. There are struggles on both sides.
