anonymous on 21 May 14Mrs. Miller's Kindergarten class got a class set of this company's Hokki stools through a Mariemont Foundation grant. I know this is a commercial school furniture site, but as I read through their design philosophy, I'm really impressed by how learner-centered they are and how the furniture is designed for the kind of learning we're dreaming of. I'm definitely using them for inspiration for the Library Makerspace grant I'm writing.

"We can only teach children core competencies for the 21st century in schools and with teaching methods that are actually designed to achieve the outcomes we need now and in the future. Learning and the learning environment are thus closely connected: It is imperative to create spaces that allow pupils every possible opportunity for self-development."
