I'm attempting to use Diigo's List feature to replace my delicious subscription feed, but it's not as good. What are the rest of you using?

What I'm missing most is the particular combination of features delicious had, allowing you to see at a glance:

-chronological order of bookmarks for a given tag across the whole site
-how many times each link had been bookmarked (ie. popularity/newness)
    -who bookmarked it this time
-whether I had it bookmarked too (ie. had I already read it)
-url (so I could choose between AO3, DW, LJ etc)
-comment field (usually with a description of the fic)
    -tags

Does any other site do all that? Can add-ons or account settings get one most of the way?

Surely there must be something similar?

I haven't seen anything yet that beats old!delicious for subscriptions and aggregated network.

Pinboards network seems as close as it gets to delicious' network, but you can only see your own network (so no checking out who other people are following).

Man, one of the things I loved about delicious was that fics I'd be interested in basically showed up on my doorstep already labelled with important information. That's the reason when they when through the hubbub last December and I backed up bookmarks up in diigo & pinboard that I ultimately stayed on with delicious. *sigh*

So regarding a subscription replacement: I've got nothing. :(

I'm using pinboard and diigo to see which one I like better, but so far the old delicious has them beat on sheer number of people who use(d) it. Pinboard has an excellent costumer service and has most of what you're looking for, and the guy running it is realy open to suggestions. however, you have to pay an entrance fee.

Yeah, it really was the best of the best for finding new fic to read that was just what you wanted. It's surprising that no other site has filled that gap even half as well, given how everyone bemoans the noise of the internet.

Ironic that one of the few services to actually manage to cut out the noise in a really significant way, revamped the service to cut noise and increased it instead. LOL.

I don't think many people understood the functionality of delicious, especially outside of fandom. I can't think of another explanation for the way people are trying desperately to fix a problem that delicious had already been fixed. Now it's no longer working, I find myself going "Huh, I guess this is what people mean when they say they can't find stuff online". Just shows that fandom is really bloody good at making its own stuff inside the cracks of other people's stuff.

Thanks Dreamer Too. I've been hearing good things about Pinboard across the fannish sphere, so I think I'll give it a go as a backup for Diigo.

"I don't think many people understood the functionality of delicious"...yes, especially the new owners of delicious. It looks like they're putting all their eggs in one basket with this new "stacks" feature, while throwing out the baby with the bathwater on EVERY SINGLE OTHER ASPECT OF THE SITE. (clearly, I'm not bitter at all. :P)

the $9.43 I spent for a pinboard is the best $ I've spent in months. There's a few features that would be nice to have, but Maciej has already sent out a note to fandom asking what features we want him to build, and as the API is a near twin to Delicious, we should be able to get them.penknife has a link to it: http://penknife.livejournal.com/632285.html I've been poking around pinboard to get familiar and see what I'd like
