    John 1:1-14 HCSB
    In the beginning was the Word; and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created. 4 In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.
    5 That light shines in the darkness, yet the darkness did not overcome it. 6 There was a man named John who was sent from God. 7 He came as a witness to testify about the light, so that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but he came to testify about the light. 9 The true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was created through Him, yet the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. 12 But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born, not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God. 14 The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

    Philippians 2:5-11 HCSB
    Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus, 6 who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage. 7 Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men. And when He had come as a man in His external form, 8 He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death-even to death on a cross. 9 For this reason God also highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow-of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth- 11 and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    Colossians 1:15-20 HCSB
    He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation; 16 because by Him everything was created, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities- all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together. 18 He is also the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He might come to have first place in everything. 19 Because all the fullness was pleased to dwell in Him, 20 and to reconcile everything to Himself through Him by making peace through the blood of His cross - whether things on earth or things in heaven.

    Hebrews 1:2-3 HCSB
    In these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things and through whom He made the universe. 3 He is the radiance of His glory, the exact expression of His nature, and He sustains all things by His powerful word. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

    How about memorizing all of them?

    Psalm 55:12-14New King James Version (NKJV)

    12 For it is not an enemy who reproaches me;
    Then I could bear it.
    Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me;
    Then I could hide from him.
    13 But it was you, a man my equal,
    My companion and my acquaintance.
    14 We took sweet counsel together,
    And walked to the house of God in the throng.

Adjustments are necessary - 1 views

    REality 5: God's invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action.
    REality 6: You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.

    You might think that God will not ask me to make major adjustments. Scripture shows that God most certainly requires adjustments of His people. He even required them of His own Son: " You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich ( 2 Cor 8:9) Jesus emptied himself of position and wealth in heaven in order to join the Father in providing redemption through His death on the cross. That was a major adjustment.

    Its easy to talk about faith, but many times, I find that I do not exercise faith but sight. I need to believe in what I cannot see but trust God that He will do what is needed. I am now going to believe in the impossible. For Joel's admission to Biola, for Raju to be healed completely, for my parents and sisters family to come to know the Lord. Yes I believe Lord, pls increase my faith.

    God speaks through his church. WE are all part of one body, each part is significant as God has placed us to play an important role. I don't have to be afraid to let the body of Christ know my need so that they can pray and advice me in knowing God's will.

    are encounters with God, where God speaks to you as you talk to him, and seek him in your journey with God. A time of transition, decision or direction when God has guided me. God works in sequence to accomplish His divine purposes.

    Relate our prayers with what happens around us. Sometimes God is silent. But we can still keep praying and trusting God. continue to do your daily reading, praying and fellowshipping and trusting in Him. May be he wants to give a greater revelation of who he is and what he can do. Whenever God is silent, continue doing the last thing God told you and watch and wait for a fresh encounter with Him.

    Truth is not a concept to study. Truth is a person. Jesus is truth. God became man to show the truth. When the HS is revealing a truth, He is not teaching a concept. He is leading you tot a relationship to consider. He is your life. Prayer is communication and listening. The HS intercedes for us according to God's will when we do not know what to pray.

Experiencing God

    God's revelations are designed for you to bring you into an increasingly deeper and profound relationship with God. What you plan to do for God is not important, what He plans to do where you are is critical.

    When God prepared to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, He did no ask Abraham what he wanted to do or was planning to do for Hi,. But knowing what God was about to do was crucial for Abraham. God revealed His purposes. GOD REVEALS HIS PURPOSES SO YOU WILL KNOW WHAT HE PLANS TO DO.

    God reveals Himself to increase faith that leads to action. Proverbs 19: 21 - Many are the plans in a man's heart but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."

    Follow God and not our plans. A loving intimate relationship is what God desires from us. Life is our opportunity to experience Him at work.

    "I went away full, but the Lord has brought me back empty. " Naomi says this when she returns to Bethlehem from Moab with her DIL Ruth. It must have been so hard to just lose everything, her husband and her two sons. With nothing left what more could Naomi say. It almost seems like the Lord has left her to fetch for herself. So disgraceful before her friends. What was left was a life of emptiness and mourning. No matter what we go through, though on the outside it looks like we have lost everything... God is preparing the best for us. His favour will always be upon us even through those difficult humbling times. Don't give up during that season when it seems everything is over. It might just be time for a new season, a new beginning. I love this passage Ruth 4:13- 17. 13 So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife; and when he went in to her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bore a son. 14 Then the women said to Naomi, "Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a close relative; and may his name be famous in Israel! 15 And may he be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, who is better to you than seven sons, has borne him." 16 Then Naomi took the child and laid him on her bosom, and became a nurse to him. 17 Also the neighbor women gave him a name, saying, "There is a son born to Naomi." And they called his name Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
    What a blessing. God truly turns our mourning into dancing. He is so good. God has a great plan. And even through the barrenness he is working out that awesome plan for our lives.

    There will always be giants in our land, that oppose and stand against the promises that God has given us( blessings of Canaan). And we cannot stay quiet about them. Instead of getting discouraged and giving up, we need to run to our God who is there already and has given us the victory. If there are giants today, bring them before the Lord and be encouraged to know you are victorious in Christ already. Stand and be still. Do not panic you will see the salvation of the Lord

    New Testaments hidden in the old testament and the Old revealed in the new. So true. The passover had a special meaning, where the Jews had to observe it traditionally every year to remind of Yahweh who saves. In the new testament, Jesus becomes the passover lamb who died for our sins once and for all and saves us. We don't have to celebrate passover any more, but we need to remind ourselves daily of the price Jesus paid to bring us to God- His blood, imperishable seed. WE have been saved not by the perishable seed but by the imperishable blood of Christ. When we take communion we remind ourselves of the blood that was shed for us and the body that was broken for us. Thank you Lord for your great mercy toward us and your lavish grace.
