#1 Jyoti Pakianathan on 12 Feb 13New Testaments hidden in the old testament and the Old revealed in the new. So true. The passover had a special meaning, where the Jews had to observe it traditionally every year to remind of Yahweh who saves. In the new testament, Jesus becomes the passover lamb who died for our sins once and for all and saves us. We don't have to celebrate passover any more, but we need to remind ourselves daily of the price Jesus paid to bring us to God- His blood, imperishable seed. WE have been saved not by the perishable seed but by the imperishable blood of Christ. When we take communion we remind ourselves of the blood that was shed for us and the body that was broken for us. Thank you Lord for your great mercy toward us and your lavish grace.
