    "iKeepSafe is dedicated to the education of families on how to stay safe online. That's why we've teamed up with Google to develop curriculum that educators can use in the classroom to teach what it means to be a responsible digital citizen. The curriculum is designed to be interactive, discussion filled and allow students to learn through hands-on and scenario activities. Each workshop contains a resource booklet for both educators and students that can be downloaded in PDF form, presentations to accompany the lesson and animated videos to help frame the conversation."

      It is only ONE way of engaging. And just because you have technology doesn't mean it's ENGAGING. I have found that over a long period of technology integration you might experience the "too much of a good thing" syndrome.

      Yes, they are! Reference section is not longer in NH library. This brought up discussion if we should or should not teach the basics.

      Traditional reference areas were to assure that references were available for students doing research in the library. Research & reference materials are readily available online.

      I still have one but it is not used because it quickly becomes outdated. Internet and databases are much better.

      I think that teachers need to realize that phones are not "BAD" that they are devices they can teach with. I think that in 5 years they will be using them in the classroom not taking them from them.

  • He or she is no longer the center of attention as the dispenser of information, but rather plays the role of facilitator by setting project goals and providing guidelines and resources, moving from student to student or group to group, providing suggestions and support for student activity. As students work on their technology-supported products, the teacher rotates through the room, looking over shoulders and suggesting resources that might be used.
