Another IS hostage has been beheaded. The hostage was British aid worker was David Haines. According to The Huffington Post, the video showed how IS addressed British PM David Cameron and his policies against the group. Haines had been abducted last year in Syria.

Russian airstrikes are helping Syria's government troops advance as Russia warns of a Turkish invasion into Syria-- continuing the tension between Turkey and Russia since the shooting down of a Russian fighter yet last year.

It is interesting to see how the conflict has affected the borders between Syria and Turkey. After allowing movement across the border, Turkey is now demanding a "secure line" be created inside Syria. This is especially interesting because those regions have been somewhat fought over between both countries over the past century.
