Here is another site for free video lectures on math and science. It contains a lot of interesting and educational topics that you can use for research or for teaching. I will be looking for specific CSE video lecture courses that can be embedded into the virtual library.

This is a great video resource for online courses and video clips from leading universities. I found some interesting videos that are related to Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) studies which we can incorporate in our project.

It is a blog on teaching computer science at the K-12 level. It covers a technology called Kodu which our SIG is planning to pursue. Kodu is a free and simple to use visual programming language from Microsoft designed to teach children how to make video games while practicing important skills. It introduces the logic and problem solving of programming without the complexity. Kodu builds real world skills while having fun by enabling students to build video games that require them to analyze problems, structure their logic and tell their story.

This site will help in understanding what coursework in computer science can be taught to adults for practical learning or for career.

This article and the video clip for Harrison Central High School is informative for teachers and administrators demonstrating best practices in the integration of technology into their curriculum. The students were engaged in the learning and application processes across the subject areas working effectively with their teachers.One of the major points of interest in the article is that students should be engaged in their engineering course work and that students should have fun. The article explains the importance in utilizing technology in every aspect of teaching in the classroom from tests and quizzes to group projects. The article also gives examples of students who have taken a high interest in technology due to their level of excitement, and have incorporated it into their daily lives. Students are taking the time on the weekends to develop concepts to implement engineering principles and practices. Students who are excited about technology spend more time utilizing it and therefore become better practicioners.

This site is created by a worldwide volunteer community. It has computer science activities with instructions and worksheets. Some are with photos and videos showing some of the activities in action, and we've collected links to other useful resources. The activities are primarily aimed at the five to twelve year-old age group, but can also be used to teach older children and adults too with little modification. Teachers will be able to interactively engage in the activities in this site or will be able to download the activity worksheet for classroom use.
