Customize Your Keyboard Mapping
Intended For
Windows MeWindows 98Windows 95
Windows lets you change the keyboard mapping to suit your particular language.
Simply double-click on the Keyboard icon in Control Panel, and click on the Language tab (it's in the Input Locales tab in Windows 2000 and Windows XP).
However, it is often useful to create your own keyboard map, for example, or simply want to swap your Caps-lock and Ctrl keys.
Here's how to do it:
Obtain and install the Keyboard Remap utility, part of Microsoft's Kernel Toys package. Note that this package is intended for Windows 95, but the Keyboard Remap component should work fine in any version of Windows.
