The Kerpoof Studio website is owned and operated by the Walt Disney Company and true to form is super fun. According to this cool, free teacher resource, educators and students can discover things while being creative in the following ways: Make artwork (even if you aren't good at drawing!) "Textbook Revolution is a student-run site dedicated to increasing the use of free educational materials by teachers and professors. We want to get these materials into classrooms. Our approach is to bring all of the free textbooks we can find together in one place, review them, and let the best rise to the top and find their way into the hands of students in classrooms around the world. At Textbook Revolution, you'll find links to textbooks and select educational resources of all kinds. Some of the books are PDF files, others are viewable online as e-books. Most books are aimed at undergraduates, but there are at least a few resources at every level, from kindergarten to post-doc. All of the books are offered for no-cost (gratis) by their respective copyright holders. Beyond that, each book is as individual as the author behind it."

Curriki, the online education community, is building the first website to offer free, open-source instructional materials for K-12. We have thousands of free worksheets, lesson plans, exams, project ideas and activities for English language arts, math, science, social studies, technology integration and other subjects. All of our educational material is contributed by teachers and partners and is free and open source.

Sometimes I have conversations with myself. As both a parent and a teacher my role in these two positions can sometimes struggle to coexist. My questions for you this week: On what things in education do you feel conflicted? What movies do you use in the classroom and why?
