"Indoctrination is defined as the intentional manipulation of opinions and preferences and the destruction or prevention of independent judgement"(Stone).

    1) How much indoctrination is there in the United States and do you feel indoctrinated?

"Rational-democratic Model: facts, data, and information are neutral, and can settle conflicts" (Stone).

    2) Are neutral facts attainable for citizens, or is manipulation and bias impossible to avoid?

There is a large amount of indoctrination within the United States, in fact, probably more than we may even realize since we are being indoctrinated so often. The media is the soul reason for why we are indoctrinated at the level we are. They are so good at it, that people may not even notice that biased information and data can manipulate their opinion.

The United States is a very indoctrinated area right now and there is a lot of manipulation going on today. I feel that people manipulate information and their opinions all the time here in the United States to provoke a certain response or change our opinions on a certain topic.
Manipulation and bias are not hard to find today although neutral facts are. I feel people in America manipulate others to feel a certain way and do a certain thing. When people are manipulated and their opinions change, it can cause conflicts and not settle them.

I feel there s a lot of indoctrination in the United States but it's not only here, it's everywhere you go in some way. Every fact that is given out is manipulated by the individual who says it, the kind of context that it is in, and how the fact is stated. I myself don't feel indoctrinated at times because I'm kind of used to it, sadly.
Neutral facts are not attainable but there are ways to get close. Like attempting to be non-biased and trying not to manipulate the facts for personal gain. However, it is inevitable to stop the manipulation because giving out facts is like playing telephone. By the time it reaches it's destination, it's not the same anymore.
