In a march on the city of Rome composed of up to a hundred thousand protesters, a group of primarily university students began to attack the police and vandalize cars, ATM's and shops. The majority of the protesters however, were apposed to the violence of the few.

I found it interesting to note that while OWS endures much criticism for its apparent lack of organization and goals, it has succeeded in raising awareness across the world. Although I do not see any feasible solutions being proposed by OWS protesters, they have raised questions for the rest of us to answer and solve.

Weapons taken by rebels after the fall of Gadhafi's rule have been left in unsecured locations all around the capital city. Some of these caches were hidden outdoors and in unguarded civilian buildings to avoid attention during air strikes, as a result these weapons have been up for taking by former rebels and looters, causing a further state of insecurity.
