BJ Fogg's Behavior Grid - 0 views

  •
My grid describes 15 ways behavior can change. The purpose is to help people (including myself) think more clearly about behavior change.  Each of the 15 behaviors types uses different psychology strategies and persuasive techniques. For example, the methods for persuading people to buy a book online (BlueDot Behavior) are different than getting people to quit smoking forever (BlackPath Behavior).

Consuming Kids - | Media Education Foundation - 0 views

Consuming KidsThe Commercialization of Childhood Consuming Kids throws desperately needed light on the practices of a relentless multi-billion dollar marketing machine that now sells kids and their parents everything from junk food and violent video games to bogus educational products and the family car. Drawing on the insights of health care professionals, children's advocates, and industry insiders, the film focuses on the explosive growth of child marketing in the wake of deregulation, showing how youth marketers have used the latest advances in psychology, anthropology, and neuroscience to transform American children into one of the most powerful and profitable consumer demographics in the world. Consuming Kids pushes back against the wholesale commercialization of childhood, raising urgent questions about the ethics of children's marketing and its impact on the health and well-being of kids.

Developped by BJ Fogg, Ph.D. (bjfogg@stanford.edu), Director, Persuasive Tech Lab @ Stanford University "Our Stanford team created these Resources Guides to help people working on behavior change projects. We can make it easier for you to: 1. Learn about a specific type of behavior change 2. Create solutions for achieving that behavior In the past, most designers and researchers guessed at solutions for changing behavior. And frankly most attempts failed. Today, rather than guessing at solutions, people who use our Resource Guides will have clear guidance."
