Want to try a PARCC test yourself? Maybe your students need a little preview of coming attractions? This page should allow you to access the various PARCC samples and practice tests. Note: Many pages on the PARCC site are constantly changing, so let me know if this link no longer works.

Try PARCC test questions live online! This is a peek into the future, and it should help us understand how to prepare students for the testing environment they will encounter beginning in the spring of 2015.

PARCC is the organization New Jersey is associated with for State testing, but the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium is also a good resource for Common Core standard-related assessment items.

How do you know if your students are meeting the standards? The Evidence Statements from PARCC will help you determine whether or not your students are making progress toward the PARCC assessments.

While this site is not the easiest to navigate, it has a wealth of information. Keep an eye out for the PLDs (Performance Level Descriptors) for each grade level (3-8). These will help guide your instruction as you move your students toward PARCC success. Use this link to get to the PLDs: scroll down and click math or language arts to see the grade level links you want. If you want to print the PLDs for a grade level, make sure you've got the paper tray full in your printer--some of them are over 30 pages long.

Scholastic has quality resources, and this overview of the Common Core's mathematical practices is an excellent source of information and links. If you want to ensure your expectations are high enough to prepare students for PARCC testing, this page is a useful start.
