Try PARCC test questions live online! This is a peek into the future, and it should help us understand how to prepare students for the testing environment they will encounter beginning in the spring of 2015.

This is the PARCC page where you can click on links that take you to the actual online "live" samples of PARCC questions. You can click on math only questions for grade bands (3-5, 6-8, high school), or ELA only questions.

NYC's DOE put together a comprehensive and searchable set of sample problems that teachers can use to step-up the rigor in math class. This page allows you to use keywords, grade level and subject to filter results.

PARCC is the organization New Jersey is associated with for State testing, but the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium is also a good resource for Common Core standard-related assessment items.

This is the NJ ASK information booklet that is sent home with students. It is produced by the NJ Department of Education, and it has information about the NJ ASK as well as sample items.

This page from the Common Core Toolbox website allows teachers to see some prototype questions that PARCC has released.

This is the NJ DOE's model curriculum site. If you need course overviews that put the Common Core standards into units of study, this site can really help. A point to the DOE for a quality product! One of the best features is the sample assessment (and answer key) for each unit. They are username/password protected. You may use "model" for the username and "curriculum" for the password.

Try some "live" math problems online from Smarter Balanced. Not PARCC, but the rigor is good.
