This article talks about the negative effects that take place after poor communication is used in a written or oral way. If an email is sent to a business partner and needs further clarification or is too vague this will effect the flow of work in the company. If communication is going to be done it needs to happen very thoroughly so everything that is talked about is understandable. If communication skills are poor, employees lack enthusiasm in doing their assignments and will result in a decreased effort in their works.

This article makes some very good clarifications on what is necessary when communicating with others the main topic being effective listening. Foster explains how being a good listener to what someone else is saying can make the conversation "powerful" by not saying anything at all. On the other hand by simply asking questions to the person who is speaking creates great communication between these people.

Many of the points in this article are so important with the way in which we communicate with each other, many of these things we do automatically such as gentle interruptions and what has been studied earlier this week "non-verbal communication'. I few don't use a lot of these ways of communicating when trying to provide information/meaning it is not put across properly and will not be engaging enough for the listeners of this information to understand it in full detail.
