Women Talk About Sex More Than Men Do - 0 views

Dr. Eva S. Lefkowitz, assistant professor of human development and family studies who directed the study, says, "In our study, women not only reported talking more about sex and sex-related topics with their best friend but also reported being more comfortable doing so than did the men. These findings suggest that when men and women get into a relationship they come from different sexual communication experiences on two levels - frequency and comfort. This mismatch may explain some of the differences and problems that other researchers have identified in marital communication."

Love, Romance Vital Part Of Sexual Person - 0 views

We are very happy when we can satisfy sir/madam with our products Please find our products on the wedpage http://sexualhealthpro.com Love, Romance Vital Part Of Sexual Person by George Atkinson Men who have a strong sexual self-concept combine stereotypically male qualities of power and aggression with more sensitive qualities usually associated with women, a new study has found. These men are open to balancing male qualities with ones of emotional attachment, romance and love, said Barbara Andersen, co-author of the study and professor of psychology at Ohio State University. This study of men's sexual self-concepts, along with an earlier study of women, demonstrate that men and women show a surprising amount of agreement about what constitutes a "sexual" person, according to Andersen. "Clearly, men and women agree that the primary characteristics of a sexual person are that they are loving and compassionate and sensitive," she said. The results also showed that men who scored highest on a measure of sexual self-concept were more likely than others to be in a relationship and to experience feelings of love and romance.

Appearing in the journal Sex Roles, the study confirms that men are more preoccupied with sex than women are, but that relationships play an important role for both sexes in overcoming the traditional gender roles that society dictates.

Shock finding: cuddling more important to men than women - 0 views

We are very happy when we can satisfy sir/madam with our products Please find our products on the wedpage http://sexualhealthpro.com Shock finding: cuddling more important to men than women by George Atkinson A survey of relationships and sexual satisfaction by researchers at the Kinsey Institute found that tenderness was more important to men than to women. Also contrary to the expectations of the researchers; men were more likely to report being happy in their relationship, while women were more likely to report being satisfied with their sexual relationship. The couples recruited for the survey - more than 1,000 from the United States, Brazil, Germany, Japan and Spain - were together an average of 25 years. The findings, published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior, are the first to detail sexual and relationship parameters of middle-aged or older couples in committed, long-term relationships. "You hear repeated research and commentary about divorce; but it's important to note that though divorce rates are high in the U.S., couples tend to stay married - more than 50 percent of U.S. couples remain in their first marriage, and that number goes up to 90 percent in Spain," said Julia Heiman, director of The Kinsey Institute. "We know from other research that being in a long-term relationship has some value to health. Perhaps we can learn more about what makes relationships both sustainable and happy."

Throw Out the College Application System - 0 views

  •
THE college admissions system is broken. When students submit applications, colleges learn a great deal about their competence from grades and test scores, but remain in the dark about their creativity and character. Essays, recommendation letters and alumni interviews provide incomplete information about students' values, social and emotional skills, and capacities for developing and discovering new ideas. This leaves many colleges favoring achievement robots who excel at the memorization of rote knowledge, and overlooking talented C students. Those with less than perfect grades might go on to dream up blockbuster films like George Lucas and Steven Spielberg or become entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs, Barbara Corcoran and Richard Branson.

Obesity derails sexual quality of life - 1 views

We are very happy when we can satisfy sir/madam with our products Please find our products on the wedpage http://sexualhealthpro.com/sexual-health.html Obesity derails sexual quality of life by George Atkinson Changes in hormone levels and diminished sexual quality of life among obese men are related to the degree of obesity, and both are improved dramatically after gastric bypass surgery, says a new study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. "Previous studies have found that obesity is correlated to lower sperm count and can be associated with infertility, but we wanted to know if obesity was biologically associated with an unsatisfying sex life, and if so, could it be reversible," said Dr. Ahmad Hammoud, the lead author of the study. "Our results show that the answer to both questions may be 'yes.'" For the study, the researchers followed 64 men over two years who participated in the Utah Obesity Study, which investigated the two-year morbidity of severely obese men undergoing gastric bypass surgery. The researchers measured weight, body mass index (BMI) and reproductive hormone levels of participants at the beginning of the study and then two years later. "In our study population, we found that lower testosterone levels and diminished ratings for sexual quality of life were correlated with increased BMI," said Dr. Hammoud. "Subjects who lost weight through bariatric surgery experienced a reduction in estradiol levels, an increase in testosterone levels and an increase in ratings of sexual quality of life." He also points out that results from this study highlight an association between sexual quality of life and hormonal measures independent from weight, so further studies will be required to determine a cause and effect relationship.
