Schistosomiasis is also known as snail fever, katayama fever and bilharzias. It is a disease which is caused due to the parasites or parasitic worms. It may affect the urinary tract and intestines. This is a communicable disease; it may easily transfer one person to other with the help of parasites. It is mainly common in those children who are always playing in the water. It is also found in the farmers, fisherman and people who are taking unclean or impure water. In children it may cause poor growth and learning trouble.
