The basic difference between the two is that, thermosets are resistive to higher temperatures where as thermoplastics melt under high temperature. The one dimensional polymers that comprise thermoplastics account for its reshape ability. However, the three dimensional polymers don't allow thermosets to wilt under extreme conditions and it retains its original shape.
