I was taking a look at all the resources that I had collected during 2008 in my LearnTech Library as well as those that I had posted in the LearnTech News, to identify those that I particularly enjoyed, that inspired me, made me think and/or I just found useful. There were many, but I finally narrowed my list down to 100 (see below).
I then fed all the titles into Wordle to generate a word cloud and identify trends in this collection of my favourite resources. Here it is -my review of 2008 - click on the image for the full-size image.
Becta has published major new research into the use of Web 2.0 technologies, such as wikis, blogs and social networking, by children between the ages of 11-16, both in and out of the school environment.
This site gives a huge supply of blank graphic organizers. Students can benefit from these organizers because they can put all of their ideas on paper and then are able to see the big picture. Teachers can create their own for the lower grades to introduce a new topic. They are good for giving an overview of a lesson.
This Directory contains over 2,600 tools for learning in two main sections:
1. for creating, delivering and managing learning and performance support solutions
2. for personal learning and productivity, for sharing resources, as well as group collaboration (also includes some enterprise tools)
The tools in this Directory are both freeware/open source and commercial.

is a collection
of collaborative presentations, which offer a large number of ideas for
engaging lesson activities. They are the result of the collaboration
of teachers from all around the world
