Technology integration isn't always as easy as presenters make it out to be. Here is a model to explore to assess/implement tech. integration. TPACK stands for Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge. This framework looks at each of these domains of knowledge, and how they overlap with each other within a given context. It can be an important tool when addressing the problem of technology integration.

Innovative use of blended learning, using a  rotating centers approach: Teacher instruction, Group work, Technology group. They are able to do more differentiated instruction within this model and looks like they're using some digital curriculum or an LMS.

This is a great compilation of twitter hashtags for educators! My favorites are #edchat and #edapp but they are all great ways to get great information about resources and best practices in education. I also love #eduwin where educators are sharing daily posts about what they are doing to make a difference each day in teaching/learning.

Outstanding presentation by Aviva Dunsiger with lots of specific examples of web 2.0 tools she uses with her first graders! A MUST SEE!!

Lisa Parisi's blog post about a collaborative writing experience. Today was the day that we skyped with our writing partners. Brian Crosby and I started a collaborative writing project based on the book The Mysteries of Harris Burdick, by Chris van Allsburg. We partnered up our students on individual stories from the book. Their assignment is to create an original story based on a picture and a title. After enlisting Christine Southard for this project, we then duplicated it for 8 other teachers. Each story is going to be written and edited in a Google doc. It will then be published in our Class Booktalk Wiki, where VoiceThreads will be available for the students to compare story versions.

"Teacher 2.0 is a community for educators to talk with each other about their personal and professional growth. While Classroom 2.0 (http://www.classroom20.com) has been extremely successful and now has over 56,000 members, the focus of Classroom 2.0 is really around the use of social technologies and the Web in the classroom, and would not necessarily be the right place to talk about reigniting career interests and passions. It seems to me that a more focused community could help provide value for talking about how the Internet, Web 2.0, and social media are providing personal and professional opportunities--and that I can bring in guest speakers for webinars on these topics."
