    This article speaks about an initiative in New England to help raise money and awareness for homless veterans, this form of civic engagement gathers the community to pay more attention to the needs of the men and women who fought for our country and did not receive the proper benefits

    A resource fair will be held to help veterans with education, jobs, training, health care and other issues.

    The fair is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Gateway Community College in New Haven, in Room N-100 of the North Building.

    U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro plans to speak at 10:30 a.m. Other participants include Quinnipiac University, the U.S. Small Business Administration, Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs, Wells Fargo and Mohegan Sun.

    Veterans will be able to meet with local businesses and access resources.

    Connecticut's unemployment rate was 7.4 percent in December.

    This article documents a high school freshman Matt West who has an effort to try to keep children away from playing violent video games so he started to design a market nonviolent video games we've seen in the past few years that violent video games have led towards gun violence and also other acts of senseless violence was in our community. Notable games such as grand of thought of also been an uprising in the reason why teens are stealing cars. Matt is trying to keep this away from the young teenagers and his classmates to prevent future crimes and lower crime rate.
