Numbers again play a major part in this article and this article also introduces how youtube can be used. I know that many college coaches now use skype to talk to prospective athletes if they live far.

I was just saying I wish I was educated on copyright and fairuse when I was in school, I am glad they have something for the babies to learn. This will be beneficial to them now because they are using technology more and more .

This article is amazing! It talks about how pbl can be used in the 21st century and what the benefits of it will be. It is a true introduction. It talks about how a project is usually an extra piece of a lesson...but in a pbl classroom the project is at the center of the lesson.

This article or column is written for people interested in project-based learning but are not sure exactly what it is or how to use it in their classrooms. It gives a good over view of the idea of project-based learning. Along with what the research says, the reality of implementation, and what a to do if interested.

This particular link is part of a larger citation- and plagiary-education tutorial page created by and on UT's Libraries website. Contains graphs, tables, informative videos, and other tools. Great, clear information for this area of education that is often very confusing.

In this article, Lawrence Lessing, a professor of law at the Harvard law school looks at how the idea of copyright has evolved over the past century and implicates much copyright issues attributed to advancement in technology, particularly the internet. He suggests changing the law on how copyrighting is viewed and points out copyrighting laws must evolve as the digital age we live in keeps evolving.

As a history teacher, I love how Professor Lessing connects something like copyright law to the Constitution, and weaves us through the decades and centuries of change and development. I am always looking for ways to connect history, such as the passages and amendments of the Constitution, to areas that affect my students' daily lives. Copyright law is just such a thing for these kids, with all the electronics, technologies, and downloading they do. They will see the relevance immediately, and therefore focus better and and up learning more!

The competition for ebooks and ereaders is intense and it is not getting to be more civil anytime soon.

I suppose now that ebooks are going mainstream, this will catapult lawyers and educators into more fair use and copyright issues.

PBS did a great job of giving detail to the copyright laws. This is not the most entertaining of websites, but very informative.

This is a brochure that provides information to you and your students about what you need to know about Copyright in your classroom. What I like about it is it tells you what to do when you are using an article that isn't licensed by the library.

I love this book, I was not aware they had an entire writing book focused on Mentor Texts. This book would be a great guide for new teachers using Mentor Texts. It emphasizes the "your turn" model to get the students engaged in reading for writing.
