The National Center for Science Education's news page helps me keep up with the various legal and administrative battles surrounding science education in the US.

An amazing resource to help guide technology and computer education classes. This site offers an outline for basic areas of learning that students should know. This site suggests "21 things" that students need to know about digital literacy. This would be a great starting point for curriculum along with the ISTE standards. :)

Great resource for current events and topics related to teaching and education with informative articles.

I picked this one up from the list Diana provided; I read through the last several posts and I think it's fantastic. In the most recent post, I love the way the author is starting from a seemingly silly premise (does Flappy Bird have realistic physics?) and taking it to its logical conclusion in s surprisingly educational and entertaining way. In this way it reminds me of the webcomic "What If?" (from the guy who does XKCD), which takes a similar approach.

An awesome website to use a professional connection. Tons of different articles and resources for teachers. This site is a great way to discover new ideas and learn from other professionals.

The Twitter feed of the US Department of Education's Office of Ed Tech is useful for keeping an eye on how education technology policy is being shaped.

This website has many resources and ideas for how educators can integrate technology into their classrooms, especially for those educators that may be less familiar or comfortable with technology. The website includes technology integration lessons, activities, and strategies.

From the cell phone alarm that wakes them to the tablets used to chat with friends and complete homework, today's students are surrounded by computer technology. It is ubiquitous, and critical to daily routines. Yet few understand how technology works, even as it becomes ever more intrinsic to how we solve business and community challenges.

Free Technology for Teachers. The FREE part got me. This blog looks like it tests out new technology for the classroom and generates ideas for its possible uses.

This website was created by two elementary teachers; it is very useful site, especially for K-5 elementary teachers. They have also developed a family website and an intermediate website. The site was developed for teachers to find resources for planning and instructional tools and that meet the Common Core. The website offers teachers current and relevant lesson plans and activities in all content areas, including seasonal and classroom management ideas. Lesson plans and activities may have to be adapted and modified for specific grade levels. A blog can be found on the site, written by the creators, that focuses on a specific education topic or resource.

A great list that identifies important learning experiences that students should have to become digitally literate. This would be a great tool to use in both yearly planning and lesson planning. This can help to guide learning throughout the year.
