AP European History is a rigorous academic course that furnishes a basic narrative of events and movements in European History from 1450 to the present. 

When Germany's Chancellor Otto von Bismarck conceived a system of social security for the industrial workers in the late 19th century he had a very clear objective in mind. Along with consolidating the geo-strategic position of the Reich, he set out to bring the industrial workers under the control of the State. Integrating the masses into the body of the newly formed unified German State was the objective, and a comprehensive social insurance system provided the means for obtaining this aim. 

They film also hits more banal seeming stuff (incomparison to all the nakedness and injury and covert seduction), like how much easier it is to cheat on homework, how computer use might interrupt real learning, that kind of thing.

The Internet does provide anothe way for kids to become victims - but it also provides so much more - communits of interest, connections, access to information, and knowledge on a global scale. Our challenge as parents (and communities) is to pay attention and be present and engaged as much as possible in their lives. I know that is not an “answer” but it is the best I can do…
