A collection of free education resources With the announcement that Open University course fees are about to increase massively, I've been gradually collecting alternatives using the excellent Evernote on-line tool. Every time I saw a link to a free course or other educational resource, I "evernoted it" (I believe "to evernote" is a verb now).

Canadian MP Charlie Angus quits Twitter. "Last weekend, I sent my last Twitter message: "Dear Twitter - Adios. Free at last. Free at last, Great God almighty I'm free at last."

I have the feeling that despite what he says now, Charlie will be back on Twitter. Maybe using an Avatar? Hard for a Twitter addict with plenty to say on the issues of the day to go cold turkey I would think?

I agree, and expand on it, avatars are an interesting twist on leading a double life or triple or quadruple... hard to maintain integrity with the multiple personalities. I opted out of twitter because of the research on addictiveness to it, even though it was one of the course venues. Same reason I don't have a cel.! call me at home if I am out I am unreachable and living my life elsewhere.

Two weeks ago I wrote about Chill which is kind of like Pinterest for videos. This morning I started trying another service for sharing and discovering video content. That service is Plizy. Plizy is a service that allows you to browse for and save videos to playback later on your iPad or Android tablet.
