Pre-runner style trucks have gained in popularity recently since graduating from races in Mexico to the streets and deserts of Southern California. The trucks, built to run off-road race courses in comfort prior to the events and act as chase vehicles, are built for reliability and suspension travel. Transitioning to daily use, pre-runner trucks offer comfort and drivability as well as off-road capabilities. When Ryan Reese of Spring, Texas, decided to build his '11 Ford F-150, his goal was to bring that pre-runner style and functionality to Texas, where most off-road trucks are of the mud bogger style.

Catching big air off the dunes, you probably wouldn't expect this truck to be diesel powered. It's quite a sight to see something like this take flight, though it was never the planned. Austin Lessel is a big fan of running hard over the dirt and sand.
