I don't know about the claims for learning English faster, but it seems like a great, free tool to help faster reading of web pages that are not designed for non-native speakers.

I have put together a Wiki for my students to use. I have stressed that it is not part of their regular course but is there for them to visit and assist them in learning English. It goes for 16 weeks (the length of their course) and every week it has sections on Reading/Writing, Grammar, Litsening and Speaking. I also included sectioins on TOEFL, Environmental video and Pronunciation. There are exercises (links) for the students and all in all, it is a fun site to visit. If you want to join the Wiki and make material postings... make yourself at home. Please keep in mind that I AM in Oman and most of my students are young Omani university girls 18-20 years old. They are not the most liberal minded people and not prone to Adult entertainment. They are great students who are willing and eager to learn and a true pleasure to teach. There are actually 4 STEMs sites, and one linking to the Federal Registry of Educational Excellence (FREE), with a huge collection of animations, photographs, videos, maps, articles, etc.

Some beautiful websites with video and photos. You'll have to explore for yourself what the copyright issues are. Some of the sites have good search categories for teachers, like "history" and "art." Using emotionally laden and content-rich digital images is a great way to start a writing project or a speaking class.

This is a reasonable article on getting prepared for a MOOC or flipped class -- or any class, for that matter. Steps include setting goals, knowing your LMS and the authoring system involved (especially important with an interface like Coursera). The eLearning Industry (Insturctional Design & eLearning Professionals' Group) is also linked on this page.
