An interactive weather map for those interested in using weather/climate change for a content-based unit. A scrolling sidebar contains links to weather/climate related news stories, so that reading can easily be integrated into the study.

These lessons include Scholastic's Interactive Weather Maker, showing how humidity and temperature levels relate to rain and snow storms; Bytesize Science on the chemistry of snowflake making; and why the full moon gives more light in winter. Video explanations are embedded in R. Byrne's site.

This is a nice science activity. You can turn a sunny day into a windy day or even a blizzard. Requires Flash plug-in. For grades 2-6.

R Byrne's blog tells how to use the Interactive Westher Maker with students, and links to other interesting virtual science sites. Not specifically ESP, but should work well with kid learners.

This computational knowledge engine gives you results not only in maths and geography, but in socioeconomics, weather, astronomy, etc. Should be fun for students to try out.
