Russell Stannard's screencast of how to use SpiderScribe, which lets you use files, links, pictures, calendar, maps, etc., to brainstorm ideas or create a project. and it's free. Might be a nice way to organize a WebQuest.

Now owned by Google, and with an improved interface, Blogger is easier to use than ever. Create a blog to keep students alerted, document your own personal development, etc. Have students create blogs to share projects, perform brainstorming, etc. Better than paper journals for vocabulary development, etc.

An intro to explaining Prezi, its features and tools, how it works, and how it differs from PowerPoint. Stannard suggests that Prezi is a good brainstorm tool that will let us collect thoughts, images, and video, and then join them in a path that organizes them.

Shows how a teacher can meet needs of relatively high-level ELLs in 5th grade through guided discussion and preparation for writing. Teacher provides the rationale for each step in her lesson. Includes small group discussion as well as whole group.

Collect ideas and vote. Your students can write pro and con sides to an idea or question you suggest. 20 collaborators allowed, but students could work in pairs or groups to formulate their opinions. Tricider could also be used for teams working on a project. A social voting tool.

Looks like very sophisticated desktop software to use for mind-mapping. Helps organize people and projects visually. Can be accessed from mobile devices and share, also. YouTube video embedded on this site explains how it all works.
