  When Fairfax first came out announcing its outsourcing plans, Australian citizens showed no hesitance in expressing the offence that they had received. Strikes were staged and meetings were held. Discussions were held and every possible step was taken to stop the news agency from outsourcing its production work to New Zealand. It was hoped that things will work out but they did not. After much ado, the news agency has finally decided to outsource its production tasks to the Kiwi companies.
