CCS: 1:G:1,2,& 3 What is funner than having the kids see the shapes they are learning about in their everyday enviornment. You can teach them about graphing, and also making educated guesses as well. Also helps get teh kids active in their own learning.

CCS: 3.OA.1 This activity is really neat because it can be used for all grade levels. All you need to do is vary the questions. You can also easily see who may need help in the area you are working on.

CCS: 5.NBT.3 Really fun game where kids have to think about and follow the rules of the game, review how to add decimals, and then think logically about how to win the game. Really fun and competitive way to work on decimals.

CCS: 3.MD.5

CCS: 6.EE.2 What I love about this game is that it explains the magc trick. Once you ahve them follow the instructions and they all get the answer that you told them they would get them hooked. Everyone always wants to know how you did that, and by explaining the steps you can introduce them to variables in a fun and captivating way.

CCS: 3.NBT.1 Great way to get kids up and moving while they are learning and reviewing. Could be done individually or you can divide the class into teams and see who can get the quickest time.

CCS: 4.NBT.1 Allows for creativity in picking out what number they want to say. Could use to make educated guesses on answering different questions and if you are the closest and say the number correctly you get some kind of reward.

CCS: 5.G.1 Great way to learn the x an y axis coordinate planes. Can also have them make shapes in the coordinate planes instead of straightline battleships.

CCS:3.G.1 Great for learning the name of shapes. You can also incorporae following directions if you give tem steps to follow in making their creatures. You can also allow the stdents to be the leader in giving out directions to make the creatures.

CCS: 1.OA.3 This game has plenty of manipulatives in it to keep the kids interested. You can make it a little more difficult by using subtraction as well. I am a big fan of games that incorporates some kind of competition. I think causes more concentration.
