Becoming a member of the private club, which grants access to The Pisgah Tavern, only requires that a person be over 21 years old and fills out some basic information. “It’s a free process,” Salman said. “You have to fill out your name, your birthday, your driver’s license number and we give you a card. And if you hold on to your card you don’t have to fill it out again.”
There were also other locations in the store where beer was stored and to fall in line with regulations The Hub had to submit new documentation stating exactly what portions of the store were retail and what portions consist of the private club.
The private club portion of The Hub now consists of the bike workshop, a small area for bar patrons adjoining the workshop, a bathroom and the outside patio section where patrons can sit and enjoy their beer.
