HARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A West Virginia fraternal club is fighting back in the wake of a raid that seized its 144 video raffle machines.
Clarksburg's Elks Lodge 482 asked a judge Thursday to block ongoing attempts to take away its alcohol, charitable gambling and video lottery licenses.
Kanawha Circuit Judge Paul Zakaib accepted the petition and set a July 16 hearing.

The state attorney general yesterday announced the indictment of Morris County Tax Commis sioner Anthony Crecco on charges of conspiring to steal nearly $300,000 from his Elks Lodge to gamble in Atlantic City.
An East Hanover resident pleaded guilty today to stealing from an Elks Lodge and has agreed to cooperate with the state in its prosecution of former Morris County Tax Commissioner Anthony Crecco on the same theft charges.

Konstantin ''Stan'' Belenky, 42, was publicly revealed by authorities for the first time today as the unnamed co-conspirator referred to in a state grand jury indictment returned in April against Crecco, 62, of East Hanover. Belenky, an employee of the prominent real estate appraisal firm Certified Valuations, Inc., agreed as part of his plea to give up his public jobs as municipal tax assessor in Franklin, Somerset County, and in Berkeley Heights, Union County.
